INDIGENOUS SHOWCASE
In recognition of Indigenous History Month, our team at Migration is honoured to highlight the Indigenous artists and makers, on whose territories we live and work. As a small business operating on traditional unceded territory of lək̓ʷəŋən and Tsleil-Waututh nations, it is our responsibility to promote local indigenous artisans.
For the last few weeks, Migration has been showcasing products from local Indigenous designers and makers. 70% of the proceeds from these sales have gone to the artist and 30% to the gofundme campaign by the Kamloops Aboriginal Friendship Society to raise money for a new centre.
We are also selling pins by donation at our Main Street Location.
You can donate to the Kamloops Aboriginal Friendship Centre here- https://charity.gofundme.com/o/en/campaign/newfriendshipcentre
We are also working with @victoriaorangeshirtday organization, and are carrying their orange shirts, as well as the above beautiful candles. 100% of the proceeds of these sales will go towards helping this organization continue to create awareness of the affects of Residential Schools.
Visit Migration Boutique in Victoria & Vancouver for 1 more week to pick up some of these special items! We encourage you to check out these artisans in our stores and also support indigenous makers on their social media platforms and websites.
YOU CAN ALSO ENTER OUR GIVEAWAY HERE!
